Reflections of The Heart

Ok so I’m going to get back into this blogging thing

Posted by: johnnahood on: April 3, 2008

I really do enjoy it even if no one ever reads it :o )  To see past thoughts by me please see my old blog (to which i cannot regain access b/c the email with which I subscribed to it is no longer available to me :o ( but the address is http://www.refoftheheart.blogspot.com.  I know it’s been over a year since I’ve shared my thoughts with the online community :o (  ).

Anywho, lots going on right now.  My step-niece, Hayleigh Anne Hamilton, was born at 11:48 am this morning.  She came into the world weighing 7 lbs and 14 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  She and mom (step sister Jessie) are doing wonderfully…Daddy Eddie’s doing pretty good himself :0)  It’ll be nice to have another little one around.  Ciera is getting to be so big…she’s now 16 months old now and saying my name very clearly now but she yells it and she holds out the end so it’s kind of like JOHNNAAAAAAA when she says it :o ) She’s also saying “thank you” a lot which comes out as “Dank ooo” and she says the “Dank” at a high pitch and the “ooo” at a very low vocal pitch which is adorable.

In unrelated news, I’ve been off from work now for a week and a half with this leg problem…we thought it was a hematoma, but it’s getting bigger which is unusual I guess.  The doc had me meet with a vascular surgeon yesterday and the surgeon thinks there may be a tumor but wanted a second opinion so I meet with the orthopaedic surgeon on Friday…it’s all very confusing to me and I’m getting a bit annoyed that no one can definitively tell me why I have a softball that is quickly becoming a volleyball on my thigh.  More updates on that as I have them.

In further unrelated news I’ve seriously been updating my facebook recently, check it out.

Speaking of Facebook and it’s kissing cousin MySpace, I have determined that it makes me miss my friends and family whom I don’t see on a regular basis more when I “catch up” via Facebook or MySpace rather than less.  I think I shall probably not be pursuing those pages to much in the future as it really does make me long to see the peeps I can’t see.

Normally, I’d include a link to something and my thoughts on it but today I’m kinda not into it so sorry…maybe tomorrow.  In parting though I leave you with this thought from one of my new pieces of flair from facebook.

A woman’s heart should be so lost in God that a man has to seek Him to find her.
